Venture studio, startup studio, product studio: which is Innovablast?
A venture studio builds companies from its own ideas. Innovablast builds innovations on one engine. The differences, plainly.
People who meet Innovablast reach for a category. Venture studio, startup studio, product studio, venture builder, company builder. The words overlap, and none of them fits exactly. Here is what each one means, and where Innovablast sits.
What a venture studio is.
A venture studio builds companies from its own ideas. It does not wait for founders to pitch; it generates the idea, tests it, assembles a team, and spins the company out with its own funding and its own cap table. The studio keeps a share and moves on to the next idea. Startup studio and company builder describe the same model.
What a product studio is.
A product studio builds products, usually for clients, sometimes for itself. It is closer to an agency with a portfolio: one team, many briefs, each product delivered and handed over. The studio's own products, when it has them, are side projects beside the client work.
How a venture studio differs from an incubator or a fund.
An incubator takes in companies that already exist and gives them space, mentors and a programme. A venture capital fund invests money in other people's companies. A venture studio does the opposite of both: the idea and the first build are its own, and the money follows the build instead of preceding it.
Where Innovablast sits.
Innovablast builds innovations, with its own engine for building them. In search terms it is closest to a venture studio: the ideas are its own, the first version is built in-house, and every innovation becomes a product with its own brand, site and apps.
The difference is what the innovations stand on. A venture studio starts each company more or less from zero. Innovablast starts each innovation on one shared engine: accounts, payments, data, AI, the apps and the website exist on day one, and what one innovation learns, every next one starts with. That is why it can build many, and why they cohere.
The second difference is structure. We don't have departments; we have innovation containers. Every innovation is a container on the engine, and strategic flexibility is the rule: it can grow, be spun out, be sold or be stopped. Whatever happens to one, the engine is never at risk and remains.
So which word?
If you need a category, say innovation engine. If you need a comparison, say a venture studio where every venture stands on the same foundation. Both are true. The Engine page shows how it works, and the innovations show what it has built.
